Great new free-motion quilting blog (new to me)

Greetings,   Summer has arrived in Wisconsin. yippy!  The flowers and gardens are looking more beautiful everyday.  I am lovin' it.

So, I found this new to me free-motion quilting blog, ivoryspring.wordpress.com. Wendy is so talented and she shares with everyone. On the right side colunm of her blog she has many tortorials. I think I've read all of them.  I'm such a newbie to any kind of quilting.  *wink*  One of Wendy's tortorials was a "stitching butler" so beautiful.  A friend's b-day is coming so I found at an antique store an oh-so-cute creamy yellow cream pitcher, a covered sugar dish w/ red apple & 2 leaves handle, and a matching tray.  I bought creamy yellow material w/ tiny flowers to make a pin keep to stuff into the creamer. And a small scissors that fits into lip of the c pitcher.  The "stitching butler" was fun & very easy to make.  It was the perfect gift from my heart to a special friend.   ;-)              gas $3.58 in Wales

 Have a good week.  Debby
p.s. I know I need to learn how to add pics to my blog!

Book $ale

I went to a book $ale this morning at this historical church in Dousman on the corner of Highways 67 & 18.  All of the books were donated.  I bought a large book on Positive Quotations, Christmas music, Digital Scrapbooking, String Games, and Sing Along.  A small  song booklet from Reader's Digest 1977.  WOW! how great is that!!!  Would you like to know how much this was?  $2.60 that's it, what a deal.  *wink*

On the way to the book sale I passed a gas station $4.09, whoa.  On my way home I stopped for gas in Wales.  It was $3.95, another deal.  All but cheap.  ;-(  Later this afternoon they had raised their price to  $4.05

The flower gardens are so beautiful.  I have finally bought all of the bushes, lillies roses, and mulch.  We added some rock garden rocks for the finishing touches.  My son did a great job planting everything.  He works so hard around here.   All in time for a wonderful summer.  ;-)       smiles,  deb-bee
